MedX Exercise was created to focus on the design, development, implementation, maintenance, and sustainment of modern, secure, and reliable software for the MedX Medical Lumbar Extension and Cervical Extension machines. Building upon the success of our industry leading MedX Rehab software platform, MedX Exercise is a reliable, stable, and affordable software platform that offers streamlined functionality for the Gym, Fitness Center, and Strength Training communities. Furthermore, MedX Exercise includes access to our world-class Enterprise Help Desk, which provides technical support, MedX machine troubleshooting, remote assistance, and software updates.
Our Story
Creating a New, Modern, Reliable, and Secure Software Platform for MedX Medical machines
In 2017, the former MedX Corporation engaged our parent company, Govsphere, to develop new software for the MedX Medical Lumbar & Cervical Extension machines. Known as MedX Rehab, the new software platform was designed to replace the obsolete MedX DOS and MedXWin software programs that were no longer functional or compatible with modern computing standards. Prior to developing the new software, Govsphere conducted a thorough and comprehensive review of the legacy MedX DOS and MedXWin software programs and documented the functional and technical requirements supported by each software program. In addition, Govsphere incorporated modern industry standards including compliance with both the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act.
Once all of the software requirements were clearly documented, Govsphere built an entirely new MedX Rehab Software Platform that was launched on October 1, 2017.
Building a MedX Rehab Community
With the launch of our MedX Rehab software platform, our team was quickly confronted with the challenge of rebuilding trust and confidence from a MedX customer base and community that had been neglected for many years. Although we were never a part of the old MedX Corporation, our team engaged with numerous MedX customers who were frustrated by the lack of prior support and skeptical of our ability to deliver a stable and reliable MedX Rehab software platform. As a result, our team set out on a mission to restore faith in the MedX community by being a “customer-driven” organization that would build a software platform commensurate with the quality of the MedX Medical machines originally built by Arthur Jones and his team.
Since 2017, our team has delivered 28 software releases and quarterly software updates. In fact, more than 90% of the new requirements and capabilities introduced in the MedX Rehab software platform since our baseline implementation were originated by our MedX Rehab customers and the greater MedX community! By listening to the needs and requirements of our customers, we developed the most advanced, reliable, and secure software platform available worldwide.
In order to accommodate increasing demand from our large Hospital System customers, our team then expanded the MedX Rehab Software Platform to add support for the Cervical Rotation and Torso Rotation machines. As a result, more than 100 MedX customers utilize our MedX Rehab software platform in production environments throughout the United States and abroad while supporting more than 5,000 unique patients and over 28,000 patient sessions… each month!
Introducing “A New Way to Train…”
Although our MedX Rehab software platform has been widely adopted and embraced by the Medical community, it has not been widely adopted by the Gym, Physical Fitness, and Strength Training communities. For many years, we have received numerous inquiries and quote requests from Fitness Centers, Personal Training Studios, and Athletic Trainers. However, after interacting with these prospective customers, we discovered that the MedX Rehab platform was overly robust, “feature-rich”, and, ultimately, too expensive for these customers. As a result, our team once again set out on a mission to create a stable, reliable, and affordable software platform for the MedX Lumbar Extension and Cervical Extension machines.
With the introduction of MedX Exercise, we have created a baseline software platform that includes the features and capabilities most commonly used by the Gym, Physical Fitness, and Strength Training communities while also retaining the stability and reliability of the MedX Rehab software platform. By combining the “best of both worlds” at an affordable price, we are proud to offer the MedX community “A New Way to Train.”
